So after signing up for a Mason Jar Pin Cushion Swap, I was inspired to attempt my first pin cushion before my swap creation. One of the blogs I follow http://heartofagypssy.blogspot.com/ is Gladys Moreno who makes the prettiest pin cushions from vintage tea cups and anything pretty she can get her hands on.
Sooooo . . . following her examples I started sewing and stuffing little cushions. The first cushion I made was a little small for the jumbo sized mason jar I'm using for the swap, so I found this really cute pink ramekin in the $1.50 section and Michael's and created this little gem. I absolutely love it!! I use stick pins on the cover of most mini albums and on altered pieces, so having this pretty pin cushion to store them is perfect!
I am not one to just sit and watch TV, so if there is a show I really want to see I will sit and make stick pins in different color combinations while I watch. Now I can store them in a decorative way instead of just stuck into a piece of styrofoam and hidden. I have so many stick pins still in the styrofoam though I think I need to make another pin cushion already.
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my latest creation!
