I altered a mini clipboard easel I picked up at Michaels for a friend's birthday (then my son got sick and I missed her party, so hopefully I can give it to her soon!) I used graphic45 Steampunk Debutante and DCWV Tattered Time papers and fussy cut out the pieces I wanted. I started by painting and inking the clipboard and then arranging the figure similar to the tags I did for Velma's January tag swap. The huge difference on this one is that I actually took apart an old wrist watch and glossy accented on some gears and metal from the watch. I embellished the metal portion of the clipboard using different trims and beads. I created the sprays using clear faceted beads and pearl beads. I finished it off with a bit of ribbon, and some more watch parts (oh yeah and a few paper flowers) and that was it! It really is prettier in person where you can see how it opens and closes, but maybe I'll have time to shoot a video before I see my friend.
Well tonight I need to start on a couple of scrapbooks my sister ordered, but off to work for now.
Have a great day!

Thinking About a Giveaway!
Okay, I'm thinking about a giveaway to get things going on my blog and youtube . . . I know I don't have many followers (and even fewer subscribers - lol), but I do get a good amount of people checking out my blog on a daily basis, sooooooo, I think it's time for a giveaway. Of course it will be scrapbook items. Stay tuned for information.

Woooo whooo, the piece that goes on the tripod to hold my iPhone finally came so now I can video the baby girl album!
Since my husband said he's taking me to some antique stores, it will have to wait until later today.

Sorry I Haven't Posted the Baby Girl Mini Yet...
Okay, I am totally ready to post a video of the baby girl mini album I just finished last week, but I am still waiting for the iphone tripod mount i ordered so I can do videos with my phone. I did a video of my Tombstone Arizona scrapbook but couldn't get the disc to finalize properly and have given up on that video camera! Soooooo... I'm really not a flake, just trying to get a video system in place. Thanks for your patience.
Have a great day!

Finally Finished!
Well I finally finished the baby album for my friend Sara (first grand baby) ...yay!
All that's left to do is a video for you tube and some still pics and to wrap it up.
As you can see, it's fatter than I intended (well so am I for that matter - lol). But seriously, I made my hinges (thank you Laura - following the paper trail on YouTube) 1/4 inch and should have done 1/2 inch. I will more in depth detail on each page, but if you check Laura's "stack the deck" binding, that's what I used. I did tweak it just a bit. I lined each piece of my binding with Tyvek and when I had it all together I stapled the binding together for durability. You'll see when I post the pics of the binding that I ran a ribbon through the middle which covered the staples beautifully.
Thanks for looking at my baby girl mini album scrapbook and stay tuned for more pictures and a video.

More from CHA
Another fab day at CHA Anaheim yesterday. Talk about over-stimulation! There is inspiration and beauty everywhere you look. Since it was the third day into the show I was able to see a bit more and there were fewer crowds to contend with.
I was able to see Tim Holtz's demo and get a picture with him. I have to say, at any event I've seen him, he is always so gracious and never seems to tire or grow weary of the attention we scrapbookers aggresively confer upon him. And, I can't wait to try out his new distress pens! So "thanks Tim!"
I'm going to post just a few more CHA pics:
My picture cannot do this angel justice! She made these wings and covered them in scrapbook paper die cuts and feathers!!! They were at her side until she pulled the cords and the the wings expanded . . . isn't she gorgeous!
This was a canvas I realled loved, hanging in the Prima booth. I'm not sure which designer created this, but it's a really fun project idea.
Well that's all for today until I can process through some of the other pictures I took . . .
Have a great rest of the week all,
Wendy

This little cake is made from the new Graphic 45 baby line . . . LOVE it!
This is created using La Blanche stamps which I've just recently discovered. These stamps have such great detail and are versatile. If you search La Blanche on youtube you can see some of her tutorials.
One of my favorites at CHA was Lindy's Stamp Gang! This was their first year and I was so happy to see the product in person. I have been eyeing the Lindy products after seeing them on youtube on so many projects. But I have to say, in person, there is no comparison. The sheen you get with their mists and the deep rich colors are absolutely fab - you cannot truly see what these products can do viewing them online or in youtube videos. I would wholeheartedly reccomend a "try me" kit to anyone thinking about it. I went big and ordered a huge starter kit because I am now hooked. Thanks Tracey!
